Michelle Mishur Presents
"Famous Art Heists In Art History"
In this lecture, Dr. Michelle Mishur will discuss a selection of history's most notorious art heists, some that have been solved and others that still remain open. Her first exposure to this subject came as a result of living and researching in Venice, Italy. The church adjacent to where she lived had a painting stolen that was never recovered. Her discussion will feature art crimes that involved The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, the Mona Lisa in the Louvre, and more. Dr. Mishur holds a Ph.D. in the History of Art and has taught art history courses at the university level.
