Join us for NICAA'S version of the Met Gala.
Stroll down our red carpet and into the venue for a fun-filled event!!!
You are encouraged to don an outfit, scarf, piece of jewelry, etc. that could represent a piece of art.
Our speaker Brandon Johnson will present "Fashion Is Art: Splendor And Scandal." His presentation explores the fascinating intersection of style, status and scandal throughout art history. From sumptuous Renaissance portraits and extravagant court dress to provocative modern designs, this talk examines fashion as both a powerful artistic medium, in and of itself, and a subject of artistic representation. Brandon will discuss how what people wear, and how artists depict it, has long shaped ideas of beauty, identity, power and desire.
